• [09/29/2023] We are excited to share the news that we developed Taiyi , a bilingual (Chinese and English) fine-tuned large language model for diverse biomedical tasks.
• In 2023, we’re co-organizing the BioCreative VIII BioRED Track with Zhiyong Lu’s Group. Welcome to participate in the challenge!
• July 11, 2022. I will give a talk (BioRED: A Comprehensive Biomedical Relation Extraction Dataset) at ISMB 2022 in Madison.
• March 21-22. I will present our poster (AI-aided Genetic Diagnosis and Disease-gene Discovery: Scaling Up and Evaluation of an Automated Deep Phenotyping Algorithm on two External EHR Datasets) at AMIA 2022 Informatics Summit in Chicago.
• Dec 2021. I’m session chair at BIBM 2021 and hosted session 31 (Information Retrieval, Ontologies, Natural Language Processing, and Text Mining).
• Nov 2021. our team (NLM-NCBI) achieved top performance in the drug-protein (DrugProt) relation extraction task of the BioCreative VII challenge.
